The Go Green Committee is the PTA's newest committee. Parents, students and staff have worked together to create these exciting and positive changes at Bay Farm School:
- Reusable party-ware in every classroom
- Reusable bowls for garden and classroom use
- Organic and Recyclable sorting at every lunch and for classroom parties
- Recycling stations at school-wide events
- Printer ink cartridge and cell phone recycling through e-Scrip
- Battery recycling through ACI
- Environmentally responsible e-waste recycling through Green Citizen
- Organic waste recycling in the classrooms and bathrooms
- Service learning opportunities for students to help monitor, manage and develop the school's Go Green program.
We have been able to teach all of our students and parents valuable lessons while reducing Bay Farm School's carbon footprint.
