Go Green

Bay Farm Go Green is a PTA committee. Parents, students and staff have worked together since 2009 to create these exciting and positive changes at Bay Farm School:

  • Recycling stations in every classroom, at lunch and on the playground in an effort to recycle at least 90% of our trash.
  • Reusable party-ware in every classroom
  • Reusable bowls for garden and classroom use
  • Recycling stations at all school-wide events to minimize trash and maximize recycling
  • Printer ink cartridge and cell phone recycling through e-Scrip
  • Battery recycling through ACI
  • Marker recycling through Crayola Color Cycle
  • Service learning opportunities for students to help monitor, manage and develop the school's Go Green program.
We have been able to teach all of our students and parents valuable lessons while reducing Bay Farm School's carbon footprint.
